Thousand Join Tax Day Tea Party

Hundreds of cities across the United States saw organized "tea parties" take place, and Newbern was no exception.

I bet if we surveyed those people that are at all of those tea parties today each one of them has something that really has triggered them in the last few months.

Before the crowd dispersed they were encouraged to call or write their representatives whose information was written on a banner.

Forty-four percent of federal expenditures this year is to be paid with borrowed money.

Any of you out there that are running your household: How long will you make it before you go into bankruptcy if everything that you spend out you have to borrow, because folks, that has to be paid back and it has to be paid back with interest.

Republicans have lost their grip on Congress and the White House, but they claim to have American anger over taxes and the economy on their side.

While the political implications of the rallies remain to be seen as Obama's administration pursues its economic recovery plan.
